Privacy Policy — Run Out Now

Who We Are
Run Out Now is an independent Apple Watch app operated by a solo developer (“we”, “us”).

Summary
Run Out Now uses your device’s location (if you allow it) to provide local weather and wear advice for runners. We do not run user accounts, and we do not collect personal data on our own servers.

Information We Collect
We do not collect personal information on our own servers.
Run Out Now does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, phone number, or address.

Location Data
If you grant permission, the app accesses your approximate or precise location on your device to:
  • determine current local conditions for your run
  • generate wear advice based on those conditions
Location is processed on-device to determine your area; we don’t retain location history.

WeatherKit: To retrieve forecasts, the app uses Apple WeatherKit, which sends location information to Apple’s weather service to return weather data for that location. Apple states Weather/WeatherKit is designed so location is used to provide forecasts and is not associated with your identity.

What we do:
  • We do not store your location on our servers (we don’t have servers for location history).
  • We do not sell your location data.
  • We do not use location for advertising.
  • We do not use location for tracking.

You can turn off Location Services anytime in iPhone/Watch Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.

Purchases (In-App Purchase)
Run Out Now offers a one-time purchase (“pay once, own forever”) processed by Apple’s App Store.
  • Payments are handled by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details.
  • Apple may process purchase information to complete the transaction and for fraud prevention, refunds, and accounting. We only receive information needed to enable the purchased feature (e.g., a confirmation that the purchase is active).

Data Shared with Third Parties
  • Apple WeatherKit: location is used to request weather data from Apple’s weather service.
  • Apple App Store (IAP): purchase processing is handled by Apple.
We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

Analytics and Tracking
  • No tracking: Run Out Now does not track you across apps and websites (as defined by Apple).
  • No ads: We do not serve ads.
  • No third-party analytics SDKs: We do not embed third-party analytics that profile you.

Data Stored on Your Device
App settings (for example, units and preferences) may be stored locally on your device.

Children’s Privacy
Run Out Now is not designed to collect personal information from children, and we do not knowingly collect such information.

Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
